'The Possession' took control of the top spot at the box office over the Labor Day weekend.

Other coming horror movies include 'House at the End of the Street,' the kiddie movie 'Hotel Transylvania,' and 'Paranormal 4.'

He said widespread news coverage of the movie is helping to attract filmgoers. 'Lots of coverage equals huge awareness big bucks,' he added.
