1. You may get along well with your boss.
也許你和你老板相處得很好。
get along with...表示“與……和睦相處”,例如:
He is good-tempered. He gets along with everyone.
他脾氣好,和誰(shuí)都處得來(lái)。
另外,get along with...還能表示“進(jìn)展”,例如:
How are you getting along with your English studies?
你的英語(yǔ)學(xué)得怎樣?
2. Bosses don't often view our personal wants as an important factor to the job.
事實(shí)上老板們并不把我們個(gè)人的需要看成是工作中一個(gè)重要的因素。
view...as 表示“把……看作……;認(rèn)為……是…… ”,例如:
They continued to view it as their major adversary.
他們繼續(xù)把它看作主要的對(duì)手。
3. Most bosses like to feel that they know everything, although you and the rest of the office may differ in opinion on that issue.
大多數(shù)老板覺(jué)得自己懂得所有的東西,盡管你和辦公室的其他同事也許會(huì)在一件事情上和你的老板有不同的觀點(diǎn)。
differ in表示“在(某方面)不同”,例如:
The couple differ in their judgment of this play.

4. Most companies have a set program for raises and you need to understand that plan so that you don't look foolish and ask for a raise out of turn.
