Take PR exec Justine Sacco for example. Late last year, this woman tweeted a joke on her way to Africa, and by the time she landed, she was fired.

就拿公關(guān)執(zhí)行官賈斯汀-薩科來(lái)說(shuō)吧。去年，這個(gè)女人在去非洲的途中在推特網(wǎng)上發(fā)了一個(gè)笑話，結(jié)果等她剛下飛機(jī)就被解雇了。

I don't agree with her termination, and I'm sure she doesn't either, but our opinions don't matter, because the majority spoke.

我覺(jué)得她不該被解雇，而且我肯定她本人也不服，但這又能怎樣？大部分人說(shuō)了算。

The Internet is as close to a true democracy as we have in this world, so, for good or bad, the majority rules.
