For whatever reason I develop a crippling feeling of anxiety whenever I see the little voicemail icon pop up on my phone. It takes a lot for me to muster the will to even check my messages.

不知為何，每次看見手機上跳出語音留言的提示我就會很緊張，我需要鼓起十足勇氣才敢點開這些留言。

So when I've suffered through the prompts and chewed through my nails for fear that the voicemail is my boss calling to tell me I've been fired, getting a blank message is tantamount to torture.

煎熬許久，緊張地咬著指甲，我很怕這條語音是老板說我被炒魷魚了，結果點開發現卻是一條空白信息，天啊實在是折磨。
