So anyway, we finally went to bed,and that's when Portia said the three words
反正最后 我們準備睡了 這時候 波西婭說了三個字
that nobody wants hear when they are about to go to sleep.
誰在睡覺前 都不想聽到的三個字
What's that sound?It was a beep.And it wasn't the smoke detector.
啥聲音 是嗶嗶聲 不是煙霧報警器的聲音
It was a mysterious beep, and I have heard a lot of beeps.
是很神秘的嗶嗶聲 我也算聽過很多種嗶嗶聲了
I... I have never heard this one.I didn't have beeping clue of what it was.
但這種還真沒聽過 我不知道這是什么東西發出來的
And here is what I learn.It's impossible to find what's beeping,because everything beeps nowadays. Everything!
然后我的結論是 根本不可能找到嗶嗶聲的來源 因為現在幾乎所有的東西都會嗶嗶響
A few years ago, the only thing beeps in my house is smoke detector,
幾年之前 我家里唯一嗶嗶響的 就是煙霧報警器
or when mom's jazzy was backing up.She has a big flag on it, so you can see.
再就是我媽在放爵士樂 她還有一大面旗子 所以你懂的
Now you have to rule everything out,and every appliances in my house has a beep.
現在得排除一切選項 我家的任何設備都會嗶嗶響
So, so many different beeps, dings, chirps in my house.
各種各樣的嗶嗶聲 叮叮聲 啾啾聲
True story, last week, a sparrow flew into our living room,and tried to make love to our firmer steps.
講個真事 上個星期一只麻雀飛到了我們家客廳 想和我們家樓梯做愛
Back to the mystery, so I looked every room,the great room, the good room,the roller rink, Portia's roller rink.
回到神秘的嗶嗶聲 我把所有房間轉了個遍 大廳到"好廳" 旱冰場 波西婭的旱冰場
I couldn't find the beep,so I went to the kitchen and get a glass of water.
我還是找不到聲音來源 就去廚房拿了杯水
And that's why I noticed the refrigerator door was opened,
我這才發現冰箱門沒關好
just a jar, as they would say.Just a tiny bit, and I went to close it.
被一個罐子卡住了 開了一條小縫 我就去把門關了
Mystery solved, and my refrigerator door was beeping.
謎團解開了 原來是冰箱門在響
Apparently, my refrigerator comes with a "smart door technology" that beeps if you leave it up
很顯然 我的冰箱有個智能的門 你不關門 它就嗶嗶響
well I say it was really smart will it closed itself.
能自己關門才是真正的智能
You know.Smart.So,that's how I solve the mystery of my beeping fridge.
對吧 智能 所以 我就是這么解開的秘密 嗶嗶響的是冰箱
Two and next time, when I try to figure out what's ting for blocking my freezer.
我不止一次想要去搞清楚 到底是冰箱哪部分在響
