As he thundered out this he made a rush at Bildad, but with a marvellous oblique, sliding celerity, Bildad for that time eluded him.
他一邊破口大罵,一邊沖到比勒達跟前,但是,這時,比勒達卻出奇的神速,身子一閃,避開了他。

"Whew!" he whistled at last-"the squall's gone off to leeward, I think. Bildad, thou used to be good at sharpening a lance, mend that pen, will ye. My jack-knife here needs the grindstone. That's he; thank ye, Bildad. Now then, my young man, Ishmael's thy name, didn't ye say? Well then, down ye go here, Ishmael, for the three hundredth lay."
這兩個負有主要和重大責任的船東這樣駭人的吵架可把我嚇呆了,我頗想打消一切的念頭,不上這么一艘船權頗有疑問又是暫時給代管著的船只,我打門邊一閃,讓路給比勒達逃出去,因為這家伙,毫無疑問地,一定急于要避開法勒的盛怒。可是,使我詫異的是,他竟又十分泰然地坐到橫木上去,看來毫無退卻的意圖。他似乎已經(jīng)看慣了這個不知悔悟的法勒和他那副脾氣了。至于法勒,脾氣發(fā)過后,也好象是太平無事了,他也坐了下來,象一只綿羊似的,雖然他還微顯抽攣,宛似精神仍很激動。"呸!"他最后啐了一下說..."風暴已經(jīng)消失了吧,我想。比勒達,你磨魚槍一向很在行,給我修修這支筆吧。我的小刀得上磨石啦,喏,謝謝你,比勒達。那么,小伙子,剛才你不是說你叫以實瑪利么?好吧,這就給你寫下來啦,以實瑪利,三百分之一的拆賬。"
