托福閱讀中的長難句分析方法

托福閱讀中常常會出現一些長而且復雜的句子,這些句子不僅耽誤同學們做托福閱讀試題的時間,有時還很不好理解影響了對于信息的提取,那么針對這種情況專家對于這些托福閱讀文章中出現的這類句子做一個簡單的分析。
  在托福閱讀試題中遇到這種句子時,往往需要我們更加細心,把句子的主干先抓出來,然后結合這些修飾成分有層次的理解句子。而抓住句子的核心主干的竅門往往在于找出句子的真正謂語,因為謂語是支撐整個句子的支點。

  本句主干結構是spectators experienced elaborate aural presentations alongside movies' visual images,其實非常簡單,就是說觀眾們既看到影像也欣賞到了音效。但是從句子一開頭的狀語In many instances開始,作者用in the era before recorded sound 修飾主語spectators,割裂了謂語 experienced和主語之間的關系,然后賓語是 elaborate aural presentations alongside movies' visual images倒不難,但是隨后用一個 from the Japanese benshi (narrators) crafting multivoiced dialogue narratives to original musical compositions performed by symphony-size orchestras in Europe and the United States.來解釋這個主干成分的句子。就使句子變得很復雜了。
