There are times when you think you are right in an argument but by winning an argument you may lose a friend.

有時(shí)你會(huì)覺得自己在辯論中是正確的，但如果贏得了辯論可能會(huì)失去朋友。

So, it may be advisable to refrain from arguing too much at these times. Quite often, when things are normal, the other person with whom there was an argument may realize your point of view, or it is also possible you understand his/her perspective better.

所以最聰明的做法莫過于在此刻避免過多的爭論。更多時(shí)候，如果不是什么大事，那個(gè)有自己觀點(diǎn)的人也許會(huì)了解你的想法，或者你也可能更好的了解ta的立場。

For, just because someone is not agreeing to you, does not mean he/she is wrong. By arguing less, you are providing the required space and prestige to others, and at the same time you are buying more time for yourself to look at the other's argument from another angle.

所以，別人不贊同你，并不代表ta就是錯(cuò)的。少辯論，也給別人提供了必須的空間和威望，同時(shí)你也能給自己爭取更多時(shí)間來從別的角度審視別人的觀點(diǎn)。

And additionally, you command more respect from others. This shows you are now a matured individual.
