Narrator:Listen to a conversation between a student and her Photography Professor.

Student:Professor Jason, there is something that's been on my mind.
學(xué)生:杰森教授，我一直在思考一件事情。
Professor:Ok.
教授:是什么呢？
Student:Remember last week, you told us that it's really important to get our photography into a show, basically as soon as we can?
學(xué)生:記得上周您說(shuō)把自己的作品盡快的展覽出來(lái)非常重要嗎？
Professor:Yes up, it's a big step, no question.
教授:是的。這是很重要的一步，毫無(wú)疑問(wèn)。
Student:Thing is, I am sitting here and I am just not sure how I get there.
學(xué)生:問(wèn)題是，我就坐在這里想，真的不知道接下來(lái)該怎么辦。
I mean I've got some work I like, but is it the really what the gallery is looking for?
我倒是有些自己喜歡的作品，但是美術(shù)館也會(huì)喜歡嗎？
How would I know, how do I make the right context to get it into show, I just really don't...
我怎樣知道如何將自己的作品展覽出來(lái)呢，我真的沒(méi)有頭緒。
Professor:Ok, hold on, slow down.
教授:好，別急，別急。
Um…these are questions, well, just about every young artist has to struggle with.
嗯，這些就是年輕藝術(shù)家們經(jīng)常感到困惑的問(wèn)題。
Ok, the first thing you should do is you absolutely have to stay true to your artistic vision; take the pictures you want to take.
那么首先你需要做的就是堅(jiān)定自己的藝術(shù)視覺(jué)，拍攝自己喜歡的照片。
Don't start trying to catch the flavor the monsoon, be trendy because you think you are getting into a show-that never works, because you wanna them creating something you don't really believe in.
千萬(wàn)不要因?yàn)槟阆胝钩鲎约旱淖髌肪驮噲D去拍攝季風(fēng)之類(lèi)的時(shí)尚作品，這只會(huì)事倍功半，因?yàn)槟阒谱鞒龅钠鋵?shí)并不是自己熱衷的。
That sounds uninspired, and won't make any shows.
聽(tīng)起來(lái)好像沒(méi)什么靈感，也不會(huì)有成功的展出。
I've seen that have happened so many times.
我已經(jīng)見(jiàn)過(guò)很多前車(chē)之鑒。
This doesn't mean that you should go into the caves.
這倒不是說(shuō)你應(yīng)該進(jìn)個(gè)山洞去拍照什么的。
Keep up with the trends, even think about how your work might fit in with them, but don't mindlessly follow them.
要隨著潮流走，想想你的作品如何與潮流相呼應(yīng)，但是不能盲目追求。
Student:Well, yeah, I can see that.
學(xué)生:嗯，我想明白了。
I think though I have always been able to stay pretty true to what I want to create, not what others want me to create.
我想盡管自己一直堅(jiān)定自己的風(fēng)格，但是也許這不是別人想看到的作品啊，
I think that comes through my work.
我想這也在我的作品上有所體現(xiàn)吧。
Professor:Ok, just remember that is one thing to create works that you really want to create one that in the classroom.
教授:好的。在創(chuàng)作時(shí)你就記住，就像你在教室里一樣。
The only thing at stake is your grade.
只不過(guò)在教室里你還需要擔(dān)心自己的分?jǐn)?shù)，
But what create outside the classroom?
那么在教室意外呢？
That could be in different story.
那就大不相同了。
Eh, I'm not talking about techniques or things like that.
我不是在說(shuō)技巧之類(lèi)的問(wèn)題。
It's just there is so much more stake when you are out there making art for living.
就是說(shuō)在你用藝術(shù)來(lái)謀生的時(shí)候，你要面臨很多問(wèn)題。
There are a lot of pressures to become something you are not, and people often surrendered to that pressure.
總是有很多的壓力，讓你不再是你自己，很多人經(jīng)常屈服于這種壓力之下。
Student:But to get stuff it exhibited…
學(xué)生:但是想將自己的作品展出…
Professor:Well, you need to be a bit of opportunists.
教授:呃，你需要遇到機(jī)遇。
Now, a common sense things like always having a sample if you worked on hand to give the people.
那么一般是你隨時(shí)有張樣本在手中以給人展示。
You won't believe the kind of contacts and opportunities you get it in this way.
你不會(huì)相信這種方式能給你帶來(lái)的機(jī)遇。
And try to get your work seen in the places like restaurants, bookstores, you will be surprised how world get surround it about photography in places like then.
而且盡量使你的作品在飯店、書(shū)店等地方展出，你會(huì)驚奇的發(fā)現(xiàn)在這些地方很多人會(huì)圍觀攝影作品。
Student:Ok it's just so hard to think about all of these practical things and make good work, you know.
學(xué)生:好的。但是你知道的，想想這些實(shí)踐起來(lái)的事情以及創(chuàng)作好作品就很難。
