艾青(1910-1996)，現代詩人，原名蔣海澄，號海澄。在中國新詩發展史上，艾青是繼郭沫若，聞一多等人之后又一位推動一代詩風，并產生過重要影響的詩人，在世界上也享有聲譽。他在1985年，曾獲法國文學藝術最高勛章，這是我國詩人得到的第一個國外文學藝術的最高級大獎。其詩作《我愛這土地》被選入人教版中學語文教材。
艾青早期的詩歌詠嘆民族命運，呈現出憂郁，傷感逐漸轉向悲壯，高昂的詩風。在詩學上受凡爾哈倫等外國現代詩人的影響。50年代他直接表現新生活及建設者的詩作，疏離已有的藝術個性，顯得平淡，但保持著原有詩思的格局。70年代末復出后，他詩思如涌，精心構撰大量的詩歌，主題接續三四十年代苛求光明，真理的情思線索，并有大幅度延伸，更為深沉，凝重，睿智，注重在具體物象中把握超越物象的意蘊，走向象征。
