Unit 8 The Lost Library Book
Peter,Patsy's friend,has used the school library since September.
Yesterday,in the library lesson,Miss Qin said,
'You haven't returned "The Time Machine", Peter.'
'I don't remember that book Peter said.
'When did I borrow it?' 'You borrowed it three weeks ago,'
Miss Qin said, 'You've had it since the 5th of November.'
'I'll look for it tonight Peter said.
When he got home, Peter looked for book.
'Have you seen a school library book?'
he asked his mother. 'No,Peter,'she said.'When did you borrow it?'
'Three weeks ago,''he said.
'On the fifty' What colour is it?' his mother asked.
'I don't know,Mummy,' Peter told her.
'You're very careless with your books,' his mother said.
'You can't go out and play until you've found it.'
Peter looked for the book everywhere but he could not find it.
The next day he went to see Miss Qin.
'I can't find that book,'he said.
'Oh,I'm sorry, I made a mistake, Peter,'she said.
'It's Peter Wu in Primary 6C who borrowed it.
He returned it an hour ago.'
