大家都比較熟悉的可能就是Oh my God!了。它的中文意思就是“我的老天！我的上帝！”一般用于表達驚奇，喜悅，或是憤怒。我們看一下下面幾個例句，體會一下它的用法：

老天爺！我從沒有見過那樣的蜘蛛。

還有一個和Oh my God!用法幾乎一樣的短語，就是Oh my gosh!這個短語也非常常用，有時候簡略為Gosh!用法如下：

表達驚訝等語氣，還有另一個方式，就是Holy cow!它的意思和Wow!差不多，不過這個短語用的不如上面兩個廣泛。比如：

哇！你這輛新美洲虎可真酷！
當用英文說“該死”，“倒霉”的時候，大部分人都會想到shit!或者damn!這兩個詞的確可以表達這種意思，但是它們都屬于臟話，用的時候很容易引起不必要的麻煩。所以，美語里有另一個詞，就是Shoot!這個詞只有很輕微的詛咒意義，所以可以放心大膽的使用。比如，幾個哥們兒商量周六去釣魚，這時候突然一個人說：
Shoot! I promised my wife I will take her to her folks' on Saturday.
該死！我答應周六帶我老婆去她娘家的。
Shoot! I left my purse in the car!
該死！我把手袋落在車上了！
all right，作為感嘆詞，表示贊許，“好啊！”“太棒了！”如：
When the guitarist began his solo, the entire audience explodessintosa roaring all right!
當吉他手開始獨奏時，全場轟鳴，觀眾高喊“太棒了！”
woops!通常是講話的人不小心做錯了什么事或忘了什么事時用的。比如一個孩子洗碗時不慎打破了盤子，他可能就會說:"Woops!"但是如果你被什么東西碰蹭，或被什么東西弄傷了，則用Ouch!如：Ouch! I was bitten by a bug!哎呀，我被蟲子叮了！
