Is fruit different from vegetables?

Yes,fruit is usually sweet,and vegetables are not.

Potatoes are a very popular vegetable in North America.

French fries are made from potatoes.

North Americans also love salad.

Salad is made of fresh vegetables.

What does "fresh" mean?
“新鮮”是什么意思?
It means "not cooked."
意思是“未烹飪的。”
A salad almost always has lettuce and tomatoes.
沙拉幾乎總是有萵苣和西紅柿。
It usually has carrots,cabbage,onions and others.

Salad is made of fresh vegetables and fruits.

Many people think that only meat and chicken have protein.

But other foods like fish,nuts,eggs,beans and tofu are full of protein,too.
但其它的食物如魚、堅果、雞蛋、豆角和豆腐也富含蛋白質。
In China and in other East Asian countries,

people often eat tofu,soy milk and other bean products.
人們經常吃豆腐、豆漿和其他豆制品。
They are all protein foods.

Protein helps your body grow and stay strong.
蛋白質有助于你的身體成長、保持強壯。
Tofu and soy milk are all made from soybeans.
豆腐和豆漿都是由黃豆制作而成的。
calcium foods
鈣類食品
Calcium is one of your body's needs.
鈣是你身體需要的一種物質。
It makes your bones and teeth strong.

Milk,cheese,butter and yogurt contain calcium.

But did you know that green vegetables also have a lot of calcium?

What is a balanced diet?
什么是均衡飲食?
Your "diet" is all the things that you eat.
你的“飲食”是你所吃的全部。
To have a balanced diet,you need to eat some food from each food group.
為了均衡飲食,你需要從每組食物中選擇一些食用。
A balanced diet will give you lots of energy!
