國家發展改革委正式發出通知,決定自9月11日零時起將汽、柴油價格每噸分別提高550元和540元,折算到90號汽油和0號柴油(全國平均)每升零售價格分別提高0.41元和0.46元。
The prices of petrol and diesel have just increased again inChina. The price of premium grade petrol is to exceed 8 yuanper liter in major cities.
It’s the early hours of Tuesday morning. The prices have been amended at this petrol station inBeijing. There’s a 44 cent-per-liter increase for premium grade petrol with an octane rating of 92, and a 47 cent-per-liter increase for petrol with a 95 octane rating.
The prices of petrol and diesel have increased by just over 500 yuan per ton. The petrol price hasexceeded 8-yuan-per-liter again since it dropped last June.
Before the midnight price change, many people were waiting to fuel up, hoping for cheaper petrol.
"Of course I don’t want the petrol prices to rise, but there’s no choice. I’ll have to pay about 50 yuan more per month. It’s not a big amount of money for me, but still less is better."
It’s the seventh adjustment in petrol and diesel prices this year. Prices fell from May to July, andhave been increasing again since August but are still lower than the peak hit earlier this year. Analysts say the frequent price adjustments are a reflection of fluctuations in international crudeoil prices.
