詞義辨析】
simple, easy
這兩個形容詞均含“簡單的，輕易的”之意。
simple有指（事物結構）簡單，簡樸。
easy指輕松。
【例句用法】
Take your time; easy does it.
省點勁兒; 別那麼賣力。
He has stopped working and leads a very easy life.
他現在不做事了，過著很舒服的日子。
We talk about reducing our costs, but it's easier said than done.
我們談如何降低成本，但說起來容易，做起來就難了。
二.position：n.位置, 職位, 立場, 狀態 vt.安置, 定位
【語法用法】
在表達方式a position as (a) typist，a position of (a) translator中，a在這里可以省略也可以不省略，但是通常省略；
in a position to ...解釋為“能夠”，此處的a不能改成the。
I hope you are in a position to help me.
也不能把to的不定式改為of+動名詞。
I found myself in the position of having to say something.
這種用法不正確。
be not in a position to…這個短語的語氣
比will not或can not更加婉轉。
【錯句舉例與錯句分析】
錯句: I have been concerned over the position that has occurred at the Whittington Hospital.
訂正: I have been concerned about the situation that has obtained at the Whittington Hospital.
翻譯: 我一直很關注惠廷頓醫院的情況。
分析: position occur這種用法是不正確的。
【詞義辨析】
1.place, position, post, situation
這些名詞均有“職位”之意。
place指任何不分高低貴賤的職位；有時側重指在政府、法庭所謀求的職位。
position側重指社會地位較高，工作較為莊重，領取工資的職位。
post普通用詞，指人的職務，職位，崗位。
situation正式用詞，一般指雇員或為富有人家工作所擔任的職位，現多見于廣告中。
2.place, position, spot, situation, site, location, locality, setting, scene
這些名詞均含“地點、位置、場所”之意。
place含義廣泛，最普通用詞，既可指很小的地點，又可指很大很遠的地方或場所。
position多指物體相對于其他物體所處的位置或狀態。
spot指相對較小的特定地點或事物所在地。
situation指物體在其周圍環境中所處的位置或狀態，側重地點或場所的環境特征。
site指或大或小的地方，既可指供專門用途或特定活動的地點，又可指某一事件的地址。
location指某物設置的方向或地點。
locality指某物所處的客觀位置和周圍地區。
setting一般特指戲劇或小說所寫的環境或場所。
scene常指真實事件或虛構故事發生的地點。
3.stand, attitude, position
這些名詞均含“態度、立場”之意。
stand常指某人對某一問題的看法或立場，有時含個人感情色彩。
attitude普通用詞，指對于事情的看法和采取的行動，多帶不很顯確或不便說明的感情色彩。
position指對看法有分歧的問題所表示較冷靜和節制的態度，常常是經認真考慮后決定的。

The runners got into position on the starting line.
賽跑運動員已進入起跑線上的位置。
The orchestra were all in position, waiting for the conductor.
管弦樂隊隊員都已各就各位，等待著指揮。
The house has a very good position.
這所房子處于一個很好的位置。
She carefully positioned the cup on the edge of the shelf.
她把杯子小心地放在架子邊。
Before the debate, both sides made their positions clear.
