Tim說(shuō)到的blew me off是什么意思呢？今天，我們就來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)這個(gè)“原味美語(yǔ)”表述：blow somebody off，blew是動(dòng)詞blow的過(guò)去式。

Blow sb. off有很多意思。在這里，Tim表達(dá)的意思是：to neglect or ignore someone，譯為：不理睬某人，忽視忽略某人。例如：

I walked up to that girl to say hello but she blew me off. （我走到那個(gè)女孩身邊打招呼，可是她卻不理我。）

Blow somebody off除了“不理睬”的意思之外，還可以表示“to end a romantic relationship with somebody”，譯為：結(jié)束與某人的戀愛關(guān)系。例如：

I thought she loved me, but he blew me off for Barbara. （我以為他喜歡我，可以他喜歡Barbara，而拒絕了我。）

PS：要表示“結(jié)束和某人的戀愛關(guān)系而和另外一人有戀愛關(guān)系”，在短語(yǔ)的后面用介詞for，即：blow sb. off for...

Blow sb. off 還可以表示“to deliberately not meet sb. when you said you would ”，譯為：（故意）失約。例如：

I had a date with Jenny this evening, however, I waited two hours in the cafe and she just blew me off. （我今晚和Jenny約會(huì)，但是我在咖啡廳里等了2個(gè)小時(shí)，她還是沒(méi)來(lái)。）

In addition，Juliet提醒大家blow sb. off作為“忽略忽視某人，不理睬某人”的意思時(shí)是非書面正式用語(yǔ)，那么用標(biāo)準(zhǔn)英語(yǔ)如何說(shuō)這句話：She thought I was coming on to her and blew me off before I had a chance to introduce myself. 我們可以用ignore來(lái)進(jìn)行替換，即：She thought I was coming on to her and ignore me before I had a chance to introduce myself.
