一、形容詞比較級和最高級的規則

一般在詞尾加-er /ə/或-est /ist/ cold colder coldest
fast faster fastest
以字母e結尾的形容詞，加-r 或-st nice nicer nicest
large larger largest
以重讀閉音節結尾且末尾只有一個輔音字母時，應先雙寫這個輔音字母；再加-es或-est

big bigger biggest
hot hotter hottest
以“輔音字母+y”結尾的詞，先改“y”為“i”,再加-er或-est

easy easier easiest
early earlier earliest
在詞前加more或most serious more serious most serious

二、形容詞比較級基本用法
1、定義：兩個人或物之間的比較。表示“較……”或“更……一些”。標志詞：than (比)；
結構：比較對象A ＋ 謂語動詞＋比較級＋than 比較對象B.
eg. Cats are interesting.
Cats are more interesting than dogs.
Eg. Peter is smart.
Peter is smarter than Laura.
Eg. Peter works hard.
Peter works harder than Laura.
Eg. This laptop is good.
This laptop is better than that one.
2、與than搭配的詞語形式
(1) 名詞/代詞 He is older than me.
(2) 動名詞/從句 Skiing is more exciting than skating.
(3) 狀語/動詞/形容詞
3、形容詞/副詞比較級前的修飾語
他掙的比我多。（他掙的多）
He earns much money.
變：He earns more money than I.
他喜歡你。（他喜歡你比喜歡我多）
He likes you much.
變：He likes you more than me.

（1）much/a lot/ a bit/ a little/ slightly

變：He earns much more money than I.
變：He likes you much more than me.
(2) any/ no/ even/ some/ still
Do you feel any better today?
She is no older than mike.
4、比較級的特殊搭配
1)“比較級+and+比較級”表示 “越來越……”
eg: He becomes fatter and fatter. 他越來越胖了。
2)“The +比較級…，the +比較級” 表示 “越……，越……”
eg：The busier he is ,the happier he feels他越忙就越高興。
越努力，越幸運。
You work hard. You get lucky.
The harder you work, the luckier you get.
3)The more ,the better.
表示兩者中”較……“時，用the + 形容詞比較級 + of the two。
eg: He is the taller of the two.
