A nail-biter is something that causes stressor make you feel nervous.
nail-biter(咬手指甲的人)是指給人壓力的事情或者使人感到緊張。
Many people who are nervous do actually bite their nails, which is where this expression comes from.
許多處于緊張狀態的人,實際上都會咬指甲,這就是這個表達的來源。
In our example, Jonathan guessed that the soccer game would be a nail-biter, and that no one would know who would win until the final moments of the game.
