Li Tian: Yes I do. Life principles are guidelines for me to behave well.

Smith: What are your life principles?
史密斯:你的生活原則是什么?
Li Tian: I lead my life with two principles. First is being responsible and second is being honest.
李甜:我為人有兩個原則。第一是要負(fù)責(zé),第二是要誠實(shí)。
Smith: Do your friends think you are responsible and honest?
史密斯:你的朋友認(rèn)為你夠負(fù)責(zé)、夠誠實(shí)嗎?
Li Tian: My friends know that I'm responsible. I take my promises to others serious. I always try my best to finish what I'm asked to do.
李甜:我朋友都知道我很負(fù)責(zé)任。我對待許下的承諾非常認(rèn)真,我總是盡力完成要求的事情。
Smith: What about honesty?
史密斯:那誠實(shí)呢?
Li Tian: Honesty is the way how I do things and deal with other people.
李甜:誠實(shí)是我為人處事的方法。
Smith: How do you make a choice between interest and honesty?
史密斯:你怎么在利益和誠實(shí)之間做選擇?
Li Tian: Move the motto that "honesty is the best policy." Sometimes, we shouldn't give up the long-term benefit just for the short-term interest.
李甜:我特別喜歡一句格言:“誠實(shí)乃上策。”有時候,我們不能因為眼前的利益而放棄長遠(yuǎn)的利益。
