on the nose 恰好
【講解】
該習(xí)語(yǔ)源自廣播電臺(tái)用語(yǔ)。電臺(tái)播放節(jié)目時(shí)，每個(gè)節(jié)目必須按規(guī)定時(shí)間播出，因而演播時(shí)間必須掌握好。時(shí)間控制正好，導(dǎo)控室的節(jié)目制作人就把手指放在鼻尖上。由此on the nose就用來(lái)表示“準(zhǔn)確無(wú)誤，準(zhǔn)時(shí)，剛好”。

A:湯姆在課上干了壞事兒。
B:Did he get a dressing-down?
B:他挨批評(píng)了嗎？
A:You hit it on the nose. The teacher was so angry that he scolded him and let him stand for quite a few minutes.
A:說(shuō)對(duì)了，老師氣壞了，責(zé)備了他，并讓他站了好幾分鐘。
