nodding terms 不太了解某人或某一主題

此語多用be on nodding terms with的形式，意為“不太了解某人或某一主題”。也可寫成 have a nodding acquaintance with，nodding作為形容詞，除了“點(diǎn)頭的”之外，還有“下垂的，昏昏欲睡的”之意。
