Two Freshmen Meeting for the First Time新生初次見面
Bill: It's a lovely day, isn't it?
比爾：天氣很好啊，是吧？
Li Ming: Yes. it is. Are you from Australia?
李明：是的，很好。你是從澳大利亞來的嗎？
Bill: No, I'm from the US. I’m Bill. What's your name?
比爾：不是，我是從美國來的。我叫比爾，你叫什么名字？
Li Ming: I'm Li Ming. I'm f:rom mainland China - Beijing. This is my first time out of China.
李明：我叫李明。我來自中國大陸——北京。這是我第一次出國。
Bill: It's nice to meet you.
比爾：見到你很高興。
Li Ming : It's good to meet you too. What are you studying here?
李明：我也很高興見到你。你在這兒學的什么？
Bill: I'm studying Chinese. I hope I can go there some day. I'm really interested in Chinese history.
比爾：我學中文的。我希望有一天能夠去中國，我對中國歷史很感興趣。
Li Ming: Do you think Mandarin is easy or difficult?
李明：你覺得普通話是簡單還是難？
Bill: Oh, it's very difficult. But it's really interesting and I like it very much
比爾：很難。但是很有意思，我非常喜歡。
Li Ming: I hope you can make rapid improvements in your Chinese. If you ever want to practice, just let me know. I'd be more
than happy to help.
李明：希望你的中文能取得快速的進步。如果你想練習普通話就告訴我，我很樂意幫忙的。
Bill: Really? That's very kind of you. I don't have anything to offer you though. Your English is great.
比爾：真的嗎？你太好了。不過我沒什么可以幫你的，你的英文很好。
Li Ming: Maybe you could buy me a cup of coffee.
李明：也許你可以請我喝杯咖啡。
Bill: Anytime.
比爾：隨時都可以。
