What were your extracurricular activities in school?
你在學校參加過哪些課外活動？
I was on a swim team in high school.
我上高中時參加了游泳隊。
We practiced every day after school.
我們每天放學后都要練習，
We swam at least 10 km a day.
一天至少游10公里。
Before competition,we also practiced on the weekends,and every day during summer vacation.
到了比賽前，連周末也要練習。暑假期間也是每天練習，
It wasn't easy,especially in the first year,
這樣的練習并不輕松，尤其是第一年，
and there were times when I thought about quitting,
有好幾次我都想放棄，
But I'm glad I didn't.
但是很高興我最后沒有放棄。
Swimming taught me the importance of discipline and tenacity and the sense of accomplishment you get from going the extra mile.
游泳讓我學到了紀律和堅持的重要性，也體會到了加倍努力付出后的成就感。
