先不急著聽懂意思，我們來(lái)了解一下stand up to，stand up表示站立，“站立”給人的感覺就是挺直腰板，stand up to與這種狀態(tài)也有關(guān)聯(lián)，因?yàn)楫?dāng)你很勇敢的時(shí)候，你的腰板挺得很直。Stand up to表示反抗。

It is +adj. +sb. +to do sth. 是一個(gè)固定結(jié)構(gòu)，用來(lái)形容某人干某件事如何如何。
提到反抗的時(shí)候，我們也該常常想到單詞bully，做名詞表示“欺凌弱小者；土霸”，作動(dòng)詞表示 “欺負(fù)，恐嚇”。
再來(lái)聽一遍這個(gè)句子
If the man tries to bully you, stand up to him.
如果那人想欺侮你，堅(jiān)決和他斗。
Bully在第一個(gè)例句中用作名詞表示“欺凌弱小者”，在這里用作動(dòng)詞，表示“欺侮”。
