今天，我們來學(xué)習(xí)三種“盡管……也要做某事”的英語表達(dá)法：

1. in spite of：不管，不顧；盡管，雖然……也要做某事（在of后面一般放名詞或名詞性詞組，也可以放其它詞性的詞）：

I went out in spite of the rain. 盡管下雨我還是外出了。

I'm present in the board meeting in spite of my illness. 盡管生病了，我還是出席了董事會議。

He laughed in spite of himself. 他不禁笑出聲來。

2．Despite: prep.不管, 盡管，其用法：despite（the fact）that引導(dǎo)的從句，或despite + 名詞/名詞性詞組/其它詞性的詞：

Despite the fact that she is short, she is an excellent basketball player. 盡管她個子矮, 卻是個出色的籃球運動員。

He failed despite all his efforts. 盡管他下了許多功夫，他還是失敗了。

She achieved her goal despite setbacks. 盡管遇到了挫折但她最終實現(xiàn)了她的目標(biāo)。

3．though/even though: 雖然; 盡管, 即使, 縱然, though后面放個句子，另一個句子前就不用“but”.

It's quite pleasant today, though the wind is rather cool. 盡管風(fēng)有點涼, 今天天氣還是很不錯的。

Though he's fool, I like him nonetheless. 雖然他很笨, 我仍然喜歡他。

Even though he was getting angry, his voice remained level. 即使他非常生氣, 他的聲音仍保持穩(wěn)定。

He's the best teacher even though he has the least experience. 盡管他經(jīng)驗最少, 但教得最好。

Though I do need a rest, I'm managing to update the lesson everyday from Monday to Friday.
