有聽眾問我如何用英文表達“說謊”和“掩蓋謊言”，“說謊”可以直接用動詞“l(fā)ie ”，

don’t lie to me, Ok. (不要對我撒謊，知道嗎？)。或者也可以把“l(fā)ie”做為一個名詞：“tell a lie”，”tell lies”：
I told a lie to you about my job. 關(guān)于我的工作，我對你撒謊了。
She told lies about her family. 關(guān)于她家庭的事，她沒說實話。

說了謊之后，害怕別人查出來，想掩蓋謊言，就用“cover the lie”，把謊言掩蓋起來。
Don’t try to cover your lie, I don’t buy it. 不要試圖掩蓋謊言，我就是不信你的話。
I covered my lie by borrowing some money from my friend. 我從朋友那借了點錢把謊言掩蓋起來了。

你說謊沒關(guān)系，聽了諾言的人會對你失望。他會說：
Faith, I’m really disappointed with you. Faith，我對你失望極了。

表達失望，用“disappoint”[‘disə’pɔint] 這個詞，一般用被動語態(tài)：“be disappointed with somebody”（對某人失望）, “be disappointed at/in something”（對某事失望）：

Tom is disappointed with his current girlfriend. 湯姆對他的現(xiàn)任女友有些失望。
I’m disappointed at your attitude. 我對你的態(tài)度有些失望。
They’re disappointed in the process of the project.他們對這個項目的進展有些失望。
I can’t be disappointed with myself, I have to be stronger. 我不能對自己失望，我要堅強起來。
Don’t be disappointed at everything, be positive. 不要凡事都悲觀，積極一些，振作起來。

其實用得最多的一個英語句子，也你的朋友，同事，老板，父母經(jīng)常會說的一句話：don’t let me down (不要讓我失望)，要簡單多了，是不是？
