【真題解析】
本題要求描述一門除了英語和普通話以外的語言，即我們所說的小語種，如果光從“語言”角度出發，是比較空洞的，我們考生要做到的就是把比較抽象的概念換成具體的概念來闡述，這個思路是貫穿整個雅思口語考試的始終的，不論是part1(可能較少出現抽象題型)，part2(偶爾會有比較難描述的內容)，還是part3(基本上都是抽象又有深度的問題)，我們都應該把答題的方向落實到實處。
小語種這個話題，其實說哪種語言都是差不多的，日語的話可以和自己喜歡的動漫(favorite TV program)等聯系起來，法語可以聯系喜歡的法國電影(favorite movie)，或者名人(CoCo Chanel, Luc Besson 等名人)，亦或是建筑(historical building, such as Eiffel Tower, Chateau de Versailles, etc.)，其實說白了就是一道抽象的“物品題”，運用聯想法，把之前準備過的內容進行合理的套用， 充分利用好兩分鐘的 時間，給考官一個最好的印象。
【Sample Answer】
Well, I guess the language I’d like to describe today is French. It is said to be the most beautiful language in the world, and I’m really fascinated by French. When I was in secondary high school, I watched a movie called Amelie. Basically it tells a story about a shy waitress, played by Audrey Tautou, who decides to change the lives of those around her for the better, while still struggling with her own isolation. In this typical French movie, I found colorful scenery of the city, which is totally amazing to me. What’s more, when the actors and actresses started to talk in the movie, the language sounds so attractive and I suddenly fell in love with it.
Since that moment, I have been dreaming about studying in France someday in the future. So I decided to take some part time French courses. And my parents also support me pretty much because they believe it is not enough to speak English and speaking French can help me to live a better life in the near future. So I’ve been learning French for about 5 years and now I can use French as a communication tool so it’s not a problem for me to talk with my French friends.
As far as I am concerned, French will become more and more popular in the next 20 years and I’m so proud that I can speak both English and French. So basically that’s the reason why I like French.
