6. What are the problems cars bring to our environment and traffic system? How can we slove them?
汽車的興起的確大大便利了人們的生活，但事物總是有其兩面性。汽車產業帶來的空氣質量惡化和交通阻塞等問題也在時時刻刻困擾著人們的生活。解決這些問題，目前似乎還沒有找到很好的方法，你可以發揮想象力，但也要注意和考官的互動。

Candidate 1: Nowadays, with the development of economy, more and more families happen to have their own cars. The increase of cars results in many problems, such as social problems and environmental problems.

As we all know, cars use petroleum as their motive power. Therefore, the waste gases contain sulphur dioxide and carbon dioxide which can lead to air pollution, such as acid rain and greenhouse effect. At the same time, the resources become less and less, and this could cause conflicts in the world. The problems cars bring to us are not only reflected in these aspects, but also in our daily life. I think maybe everyone living in the city has once experienced the traffic jam. It is indeed boring, and usually spoils our schedule. Besides, the parking of cars is also a big problem. There are few places left for cars to park.

Facing so many problems, what should we do to slove them? In traditional view, the government usually calls for people to take buses rather than cars to go to work. But I don't think this method will make a difference. I strongly suggest that we use new technology to purify the waste gas, to replace the petroleum fuel, so that we could solve the environmental problems in the long run. As for the traffic problem, I suggest we should make more traffic laws and build more roads. May this work!

Candidate 2: Cars are destined to bring about so many problems since the day they were invented. It is commonly acknowledged that tail gas contributes essentially to air pollution and the car industry has always been a big consumer of energy and resources. Besides, the noise accompanied usually becomes a nuisance when it ruins a peaceful night. Traffic problem is another stubborn problem. Tens of thousands of people die or get injured in car accidents each year, let alone tiresome traffic jams, complicated traffic regulations, and lack of parking areas. The solution to the car problem is integrated. On one hand, we need to exploit cleaner fuel and develop new technology and methods to make cars as well as the environment-friendly car industry. On the other hand, everybody could make his trivial contribution by taking bus or going on walk instead of driving private cars helps relieve traffic pressure. The change may not come easily, but the situation is sure to go worse if we don't take any action.

Candidate 3: Along with the fast development of our society and the economy, more and more cars are being made and bought. On one hand, it is a true proof of the greater level of people's lives. On the other hand, so many cars have been bringing more and more problems to our environment and traffic system. First of all, cars have been giving off some harmful gases which seriously pollute the air. This leads to the air pollution and will harm our health when we breathe. Next, so many cars on the road will produce loud noises, which will disturb our regular life. Besides, cars are driven by burning gasoline, which is limited in the world. In fact, its shortage is more and more obvious. Then when it comes to the traffic, a large number of cars on the road are making the traffic jam really worse. As a result, it results in the waste of energy and the air pollution. We can see that the cars, the environment and the traffic condition are all in a connected chain. We cannot ignore any part of it.

We should look for ways to solve the problems. In my opinion, we can develop the public traffic, especially the buses. Providing convenient and cheap bus service will enable us to make better use of the energy while reducing pollution. Then, promoting the technology of vehicle industry is also necessary since we solve the problems from the very beginning. Buliding more broad roads may be useful to the traffic jam too. In fact, there are many other methods to solve the problems. Only if everyone is conscious of protecting the environment, the problems won't exist for long.
