Animation announcement

Welcome to the 23rdAnnual Animation Anniversary. I'm Dick Proctor, your host for the evening and I' d like to open with a couple of words about recent developments. I don’t have any funnyanecdoteslike I did last year; I got myself in enough trouble with a couple of those. But you' 11 get plenty of comedy with our main speaker, Mr. Jerry Sprainer.
I'm first proud to say that we have hadappallingsuccess in computer animation over this past year. Tiny boxes on our tables called computers have replacedancienttechnique in animation. Tools we used ten years ago are on display at the local museum. Drawingapparatusfrom five years ago are collector's items with the status ofantiques. And that device I used last week has already tripled in price! Someantagonismstill remains among a fewannoyingold-timers that we all still love, honor and respect, but we allanticipatea bright future for animation on computers.
Anyway, I would now like toannouncethe beginning of a new animation movie project set in theAntarcticthat will continue to merge traditional and computer animation. This project has full funding, will test even newer technology and, while the story is still onlyanecdotal,anticipationis great. We hope to annihilate other movies released in competition with this project at the box office.
Anyhow, if there are no furtherannouncements, and before they pull me off the stage, I would like to introduce our main speaker, a man for whom there is no apathy, Mr. Jerry Sprainer.

首先我要自豪地宣布，過去一年我們在電腦．動畫制作方面取得了驚人的成就。我們上的這些叫做電腦的小盒子已經(jīng)取代了古老的動畫制作方法。十年前我們使用的動畫制作工具現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)陳列在地方博物館了。五年前使用的繪畫設(shè)備已經(jīng)被收藏家作為古董收藏。上個(gè)星期我剛剛使用過的設(shè)備身價(jià)已經(jīng)漲了三倍。少數(shù)幾個(gè)大家仍然愛戴、尊重和敬仰同時(shí)又很討厭的守舊者還是存有敵對情緒，可我們都期望電腦動畫有一個(gè)美好的未來。
無論如何，現(xiàn)在我要宣布，一部新的動畫電影即將在南極洲開拍，它將繼續(xù)使傳統(tǒng)動畫與電腦動畫相結(jié)合。這部電影拍攝資金充足，將試驗(yàn)更新的技術(shù)，盡管故事仍然只是趣聞軼事，但大家都寄予了厚望。我們希望在票房收入上一舉打敗與它競爭的其他影片。
