Traditional Chinese Medicine has been practiced in Asia for the last 2,500 years. It is safe and effective and has a holistic approach, which means that it treats the body as a whole. In Western Medicine, treatment is focused only on the part of the body that is ill.For example, if a patient has a rash,Western Medicine prescribes a cream to make the rash go away.But the rash might come back as the cause of the rash has not been treated.Tradional Chinese Medicine finds the cause of the rash and treats that to clear up the rash for good.Another big difference between Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine is the nature of the treatments used.The treatments used by Traditional Chinese Medicine are completely natural whereas WesternMedicine treats illness with chemical drugs created in laboratories.These new, man-made drugs can often be life-saving but they can also cause severe side-effects.
