兩者都可表示“適合”，區別如下：　　
1. fit 表示“適合”或“合身”等(及物或不及物)，主要是指尺寸、大小、形狀等方面的適合。如：　　
Her coat fits (her) perfectly. 她的大衣很合身?！　?br /> The key doesn’t fit the lock. 這把鑰匙打不開這把鎖。　　
2. suit 表示“適合”，主要指款式或花色等方面的適合。如：　　
Do you think that this style suits me? 你覺得這種款式適合我穿嗎?　　
Red and black are colours that suit me very well. 紅色和黑色都是適合我穿的顏色。
