John Rockefeller was a well-known successful businessman in the United States.
約翰·洛克費羅是美國有名的成功商人。
Although Rockefeller gave away millions of dollars, he didn't spend much on himself.
雖然洛克費羅捐贈了上百萬美元，可他花在自己身上的錢卻不多。
One day, he went to stay at a hotel in New York and asked for the cheapest room they had.
一天，他來到紐約的一家旅館，要求入住旅館最便宜的房間。
He asked, "What is the price of the room?"
他問道：“這個房間要多少錢？”
The manager told him.
經理告訴了他。
"And which floor is it on?"

Again the manager told him.
經理又告訴了他。
"Is that the lowest-price room you have?
“這個房間是你們這兒最便宜的嗎？
I'm staying here by myself and only need a small room."
我一個人住這兒所以我只要一個小房間。”
The manager said, "That room is the smallest and the cheapest we have."
經理說道：“這個房間就是我們這兒最小最便宜的房間?！?/div>
And added, "But why do you choose a poor room like that?
經理補充說：“但你為什么要挑那么差的房間入住呢？
When your son stays here, he always has our most expensive room.
你兒子住這兒的時候，他總是挑我們這兒最貴的房間住。
Yours is our cheapest."
而你卻挑最便宜的住。"
"Yes", said Rockefeller, "but his father is a rich man. Mine isn't."
“是啊，”洛克費羅說道，“可我兒子的爹是個有錢人，我爹卻不是啊。”
