Former Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor has been jailed for 12 and a half years for the shooting death of Sydney woman Justine Damond Ruszyzck. He was convicted of third degree murder when he shot Ms Ruszyzck as she approached his patrol car after she'd called police to report a suspected sexual assault in an alley behind her home in July 2017.
Theresa May has officially stepped down as the leader of Britain's Conservative Party, but will remain Prime Minister until her successor is chosen. Mrs May handed in her resignation letter two weeks after announcing her intention to leave. Eleven conservative MP's are vying to succeed her as Prime Minister, with the former foreign secretary Boris Johnson tipped to take the job.
NASA is opening up the International Space Station to tourism, with month long stays available for around $50,000 a night. The agency says it hopes to open the station up to other commercial ventures.
And Ash Barty is through to the French Open final after beating American teenager Amanda Anisimova. Barty will face 19-year-old Marketa Vondrousova from the Czech Republic tonight.
