A proposal pitched by Massachusetts Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren would put a lifetime lobbying ban on government officials after they leave office and prohibit lawmakers from trading individual stocks: "Outside Washington, I expect that most people will see these ideas as no brainers and be shocked that they're not already law."
In her speech at the National Press Club, Warren sidestepped a question about her 2020 intentions, saying she's focused on the 2018 midterms and re-election to the Senate.
