Have you eaten out at any good Chinese restaurants lately?
你最近有在中國吃到一些什么好吃的東西嗎？

I like Chinese food a lot.. I just don’t like Chinese restaurants very much….
我非常喜歡中國的食物，但對于中國的餐館，我不敢輕易茍同。

Why? Some Chinese restaurants have great food!
為什么？很多中國餐館做的食物都很好吃啊。

But a lot of the time the service sucks…
同時，他們中的大多數，服務也很糟糕。

It’s not that the waiters are rude… they’re actually very nice. It’s just that the management usually really sucks.這不是說服務員態度粗魯的意思，事實上他們很友好。只不過管理的方式我不太認同而已。

So what’s it like in America then? The service is better?
那在美國，服務是怎樣的？會比中國的好嗎？

In the west, we tip our servers. This means the nicer, faster, more attentive waiter, will get a bigger tip, therefore, make more money.
在西方國家里，我們都會有服務費（小費）。這意味著那些能夠提供更加優質便捷細心的服務的服務員們能夠賺取更多的小費。
