If you've ever been to a rock gig,

you'll probably recognize this screeching noise.

It's feedback. What causes it is simple.
這便是"反饋"，其道理淺顯
Sound enters the microphone.
聲音進入麥克風(fēng)
It's transmitted along the wires,

make louder by the amplifier.

and comes out at the speakers.
最終由音箱發(fā)出
But if too much of the sound from the speakers go back into the mike,

it goes round and round in a loop,
聲音便會在此回路中不停折返
getting louder each time.
并被逐次放大
If no one stops it, feedback can destroy the sound system.

I think the same thing will happen with a wormhole,
我認(rèn)為這也同樣適用于蟲洞
only with radiation instead of sound.
只不過傳播的是輻射而非聲音
As soon as the wormhole expands, natural

radiation will enter it and end up in a loop.

The feedback will become so strong, it destroys the wormhole.

So, although tiny wormhoes do exist,

and it may be possible to inflate one someday,

it won't last long enough to be of use as a time machine.
