A man and his girlfriend were married. It was a large celebration.
一個男人和他的女朋友結婚，舉行了一場盛大的結婚慶典。
All of their friends and family came to see the lovely ceremony and to partake of the festivities and celebrations. All had a wonderful time.
所有的朋友和家人都來到結婚典禮上參加歡宴和慶祝活動。大家都過得很開心。
The bride was gorgeous in her white wedding gown and the groom was very dashing in his blacktuxedo. Everyone could tell that the love they had for each other was true.
穿著白色婚紗的新娘漂亮迷人，穿著黑色禮服的新郎英俊瀟灑。每個人都能看出他們彼此的愛是真誠的。
A few months later, the wife came to the husband with a proposal,¨I read in a magazine,a while ago, about how we can strengthen our marriage," she offered. "Each of us will write a list of the things that we find a bit annoying with the other person. Then, we can talk about how we can fix them together and make our lives happier together."
凡個月后，妻子走近丈夫提議說：“我剛才在雜志上看到一篇文章，說的是怎樣鞏固婚姻。”她說：“我們兩個人都各自把對方的小毛病列在一張紙上，然后我們商量一下怎樣解決，以便使我們的生活更幸福。”
The husband agreed. So each of them went to a separate room in the house and thought of the things that annoyed them about the other. They thought about this question for the rest of the day and wrote down what they came up with.
丈夫同意了。于是化們各自走向不同的房間去想對方的缺點。那一天余下的時間里，他們都在思考這個問題，并且把他們想到的都寫下來。
The next morning, at the breakfast table, they decided that they would go over their lists.
第二天早上，吃早飯的時候，他們決定談談彼此的缺點。
I'II start," offered the wife. She took out her list. It had many items on it,enough to fill 3 pages. In fact, as she started reading the list of the little annoyances, she noticed that tears were starting to appear in her husband's eyes.
“我先開始吧。”妻子說。她拿出她的單子，上面列舉了很多條，事實上，足足寫滿了三頁。當她開始念的時候，她注意到丈夫眼里含著淚花。
”What's wrong?" she asked. "Nothing," the husband replied, "keep reading your list."
“怎么啦？”她問。“沒什么，“丈夫答道，“繼續念吧。”
The wife continued to read until she had read all three pages to her husband. She neatly placed her list on the table and folded her hands over the top ofit.
妻子又接著念。整整三頁都念完之后她把單子整齊地放在桌上，兩手交叉放在上面。
Now, you read your list and then we'II talk about the things on both of our lists," she said happily.
“現在該你念了，然后我們談談所列舉的缺點。”她高興地說。
Quietly the husband stated,¨I don't have anything on my list.I think that you are perfect the way that you are.I don't want you to change anything for me. You are lovely and wonderful and l wouldn't want to try and change anything about you."
丈夫平靜地說：“我什么也沒罵，我覺得像你這樣就很完美了，我不想讓你為我改變什么。你很可愛迷人，我不想讓你改變。”
The wife, touched by his honesty and the depth of his love for her and his acceptance of her,tumed her head and wept.
妻子被丈夫的誠實和對她深深的愛和接納感動了，她轉過頭去哭起來。
In life, there are enough times when we are disappointed, depressed and annoyed. We don't reallyhave to go looking for them. We have a wonderful world that is full of beauty, light and promise.
生命中我們有很多的失望、沮喪和煩惱，我們根本不需要尋找。我們美妙的世界充滿了美麗、光明、希望。
Why waste time in this world looking for the bad, disappointing or annoying when we can lookaround us, and see the wondrous things before us?
但是，當我們放眼四周時，為什么浪費時間尋找不快、失望和煩惱，而看不到我們面前的美好事物呢？
