屬于黎巴嫩億萬(wàn)富翁銀行家愛(ài)德蒙薩遺孀麗莉薩的珠寶在周一瑞士的義賣活動(dòng)中被晚上拍出了3790萬(wàn)美元的高價(jià)。
Jewels belonging to Lily Safra, the billionaire widow of Lebanese banker Edmond Safra, fetched $37.9 million on Monday night in a charity sale in Switzerland. And one ruby and diamond ring sold for a record price of $6.7 million.
The gems sold for almost double the pre-sale estimate at the Christie's auction. Sixty-nine gems in total were sold but the crown jewel was a 32.08 carat ruby and diamond-ring by Chaumet, which was sold at a world-record price of $6.7 million, the highest auction price of any ruby.
The private collection of Lily Safra also included diamonds and sapphires as well as antique pieces dating to the late 18th-century. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to charitable institutions selected by Safra.
