This year marks the "The Year of Chinese Culture" in the Eurasian nation. As part of the activities, the grand show "Golden Dance with Silver Jewellery" and modern dance "The Earth" by the Shanghai Song and Dance Ensemble were put on the stage in Istanbul over the weekend.
"Golden Dance with Silver Jewellery" was a blend of music, dance, drama, costume show and folk cultural show. It displayed splendid aspects of Chinese culture to the Turkish people and they were deeply impressed by its stunning beauty.
Modern dance "The Earth" evoked admiration for life and respect for nature. People's sorrow and perseverance in the face of adversity was vividly expressed in the elegant movements of the dancers.
With the theme of "Charming China, Home of the Silk Road", this year's event involves more than 70 projects, making it the cultural exchange program with the largest scale, highest level and most performances in Turkey since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Turkey.
