The visitors took an early lead following a turnover. Both Mattia Destro and Franco Brienza's attempts were rejected but D'Agostino's cool left-footed finish was not.
Julio Cesar made two excellent saves but was helpless with D'Agostino's final blast. Inter fought back and in the 42nd minute Diego Milito headed a Christian Chivu cross into the net.A lethal mistake was made by Emanuele Pesoli and Milito's 17th goal of the season.
10 minutes from time Daniele Mannini hauls down Inter substitute Yugo Nagatomo. Milito grabs the winner from the penalty spot. The win still leaves Inter two points behind the Europa League places while Siena remains in the relegation zone.
