Last time we talked about the heroine Emma Roberts in The Art of Getting By. This time we will focus on the hero Freddie Highmore. He is only 19 this year but he has acted in some films already. Do you remember the little music genius in August Rush or little Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? They are all his works.
上次我們談到了《家庭作業》中的女主角艾瑪•羅伯茨，今天，我們就來說說男主角弗萊迪•海默。現年19歲的他，已經主演了不少電影，像是《八月迷情》中的音樂小天才，《查理和巧克力工廠》的小查理，這些都是他塑造的人物。
Actually his father is an actor, so he got the chance of costarring with Johnny Depp in Finding Neverland. It was said that his performance inspired Depp so much that he recommended Highmore to star in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Highmore lives up to Depp’s expectations and let more and more people know him, this little, pure and cute English boy.
海默的父親也是位演員，海默小時候就得到了與約翰尼•德普出演《尋找夢幻島》的機會。據說小海默給了德普不少靈感，在《查理和巧克力工廠》開拍時，德普也極力推薦他。海默果然不負期待，讓更多的人知道了這個小可愛，小純真的英國男孩。
One of his films impresses the world most is The Spiderwick Chronicles. For in this film, he played tow roles. He had to portray the twin brothers with opposite characters. It is a hard task, but he manages them well. So the next 3 years, he had a rather busy schedule.
在另一部影片《奇幻精靈事件簿》中，他一人分飾兩角，扮演一對性格相反的孿生兄弟，相當有難度，而海默完成得十分出色，所以在接下來的三年間，海默都片約滿滿。
Besides acting, he usually dubbed roles in films like Astro Boy, A Fox's Tale and so on. Meanwhile he is keen on soccer and his favorite team is Arsenal. He enjoys video games like other boys. The Catcher in the Rye is his love. Chinese food and Italian food usually bring him good appetite.
除了表演，他也經常為電影配音，比如《阿童木》《狐貍的故事》等等。他也非常喜歡足球、游戲和塞林格寫的《麥田里的守望者》中國菜和意大利菜則是他的最愛。
As a star, he also does well in school. He got 10 A in GSCE. These subjects cover English, English Literature, mathematics, Spanish, French, Latin, geography, biology, chemistry and physics. To some extent, we have to say he is rather versatile.
海默的學習成績也不錯，在GCSE(普通中等教育證書課程)考試中取得十門 A的好成績，這十門科目分別是：英文、英國文學、數學、西班牙文、法文、拉丁文、地理、生物、化學、物理。
The new film The Art of Getting By brings him and Emma together. Highmore would play the student who faces the pressure of entering advanced school. He and Emma would portray a comfortable romance in school. Can Highmore do well in romance just as he did in drama？Let’s wait to see.
