為傳播上海綠色世博理念，推進生態(tài)文明，借世博會之機向來自世界各地的人們展示中國國寶大熊貓的風(fēng)采，國家林業(yè)局將安排１０只大熊貓去上海進行為期一年的展示。目前，從四川臥龍國家級自然保護區(qū)精心挑選出的１０只亞成體大熊貓已經(jīng)確定，最快將于１月上旬抵達上海，１月下旬正式與公眾見面。

Ten giant panda cubs will be displayed in conjunction with the Shanghai World Expo next year. This will provide millions of Chinese and foreign visitors an opportunity to view the highly endangered species.

The six females and four males will arrive in January and spend six months at the Shanghai Zoo. Following that, they will spend half a year at the Wild Zoo of Shanghai. The Expo, which begins May 1st and runs for six months, is expected to draw 70 million visitors. The Shanghai Zoo, which already has three older giant pandas, refurbished its panda house to accommodate the new arrivals.
