A French film featuring the legendary designer Coco Chanel premiered on Tuesday. And 20th Century Fox's first Chinese film project called "Hot Summer Days" , also opened in the city.
French actress and model Anna Mouglalis was in Hong Kong to attend the gala premiere of her new film "Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky."
Mouglalis was joined at the premiere by the film's director Jan Kounen.
The movie tells the story of the fashion designer's affair with Russian composer Igor Stravinsky in 1920.
Anna Mouglalis, actress, said, "She has never been accepted by the institution of weddings, marriage, so then why would she respect it? She was just trying to go further into her freedom and then she had to forget about guilt. But she was, I mean, more in love with the music and the revolutionary artist than with the man because as a man he is more a man of the 19th century."
"Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky" has also been selected as the closing movie of Hong Kong's French Cinepanorama event, which launched on November 27th and ends on December 13th.
Hot talent and hot temperatures are featured in the new movie "Hot Summer Days," which combines six short stories that all happen during a record-breaking period of high temperatures.
And the film's line up is also pretty sizzling as it includes top stars from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Chinese mainland.
Lead actor Nicholas Tse and actress Barbie Hsu both appeared at a press conference to support the romantic comedy in Hong Kong.
Fashion photographer Wing Shya and screenwriter Tony Chan make their directorial debut with the film in which all six stories intertwine with each other.
"Hot Summer Days" is set for release over the Chinese New Year and Valentine period next year.
