Sam : Mother, can you buy me a new bike?
Mother: No, Sam. I can't.
Sam : But all my friends have new bicycles.
Mother: You can ride their bikes.
Sam : Why can't I have a new bike?
Mother: Because money doesn't grow on trees.
掙錢是很辛苦的
薩姆：媽，您可不可以買一輛新的自行車給我?
媽媽：不可以，薩姆。我辦不到。
薩姆：但是我所有的朋友都有新車。
媽媽：你可以騎他們的車子呀!
薩姆：我為什么不能有輛新車呢?
媽媽：因為錢不會長在樹上嘛(喻掙錢足很辛苦的)。
