一。詞匯
1 complete v. complete bullding
complete /finish homework
complete /finish doing sth.
adj. 完全的 完整的
2 modern--->modernization 現代化
3 stragne 奇怪的 陌生的
stranger 陌生人
I am stranger here. (口語，別人問路，你也不知道時回答）
be strange to sth. 對...不習慣
二。課文
get a surprise 感到驚喜 吃了一驚
to one's surprise 令某人吃驚
get a shock 感到震驚
三。難點
1 It is a pity that... 遺憾的是...
3 There be sb. doing +地點 某地有某人做某事（托福常考）
4 表示天氣 后面是動詞或形容詞用 it,例：
It is cold.
It will rain.
如果后面是名詞，用There be 句型：
There was a rain in Beijing.=It ranis in Beijing.
